We are thrilled to announce that Karolina Sustrova, a Grade 12 student from Bishop Reding Catholic Secondary School was recognized as Student of the Year by the Catholic Education Foundation of Ontario (CEFO) for the 2020-21 school year!
Karolina has excelled in her academics at school, and has shared her time and talents within our school community through her participation in school-based events and extra-curricular clubs.
In the 2020-21 school year, she fostered peer collaboration and took on leadership roles as an executive member of the HOSA-Future Health Professional Club, the Medical Science Club, and as a student leader in the YOUnity Leadership group.
As an Outreach Coordinator for Share-A-Smile, Karolina facilitated a letter writing program for senior citizens living in local congregate care settings. Her community work also continued in her role as an altar server, and as a volunteer with the Vychodna Slovak Dancers.
Karolina’s leadership at Bishop Reding and her many contributions to community-building and social justice are admired by her peers and our school community. Congratulations to Karolina for her accomplishments in receiving the CEFO Student of the Year award!
